Cuban: I am now an advisor to the team owner and it is Dumont who has the final say.

Today, Mavericks minority shareholder Mark Cuban accepted an exclusive interview with TA reporter Joe Vardon.

It is reported that Cuban will sell most of his shares in the Mavericks for approximately US$3.5 billion in 2023 and has now re-engaged in the team's basketball decision-making leadership.

Cuban revealed in the interview that he is the "advisor" to Dumont (the owner of the Mavericks), and Dumont will "make all final decisions."

A team source confirmed Cuban's role as Dumont's advisor and reiterated Cuban's view that it is Dumont who ultimately has the final say.
