Bucks pay tribute to Lillard: Thank you for giving all your money to this city!
The Bucks official thanked Lillard for his efforts over the past two seasons, posted the picture and wrote: "It is really rare to see a leader as tough and reliable at critical moments. You give all your money to this team and this city. Thank you, Lillard."
Previously, the Bucks cut Lillard with extended terms and paid his remaining two-year $113 million salary for five years. Until the end of the 2029-30 season, the Bucks would pay Lillard about $22.5 million every year.
In the 2024-25 season, Lillard played 58 regular season games, averaging 36.1 minutes per game, scoring 24.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 1.2 steals. At the end of March this year, he suffered a deep vein thrombosis in his right calf and recovered in less than a month. He returned in G2 against the Pacers in the first round of the playoffs. But in G4, he suffered a tear on his left Achilles tendon and was reimbursed for the season.
