Mid-style: Inter Milan gives up fighting for Leoni and prepares to offer 43 million euros to pursue Lukeman

Italian media "Milan Sports" reported that Inter Milan decided to give up introducing Parma defender Leoni and pursue Atlanta striker Lukeman. The Nerazzurri aims to finalize the transfer before the season begins and prepare to raise the offer for players.

At the latest Wednesday next Tuesday, Inter Milan executives will meet with Atlanta and try to speed up negotiations. Inter Milan is preparing to modify its initial 40 million euros quotation, willing to increase 3 million euros to the fixed transfer fee, and then work hard on the bonus part. They believe that the players' wishes can play a decisive role. Atlanta previously rejected Inter Milan's quotation of 40 million euros because its valuation was significantly higher, reaching 50 million euros.

Lukeman's intention is clear. He hopes to join Inter and is not willing to consider other options. Lukeman has reached an agreement with Inter Milan on a five-year contract, with an annual salary of 4.5 million euros, which may rise to 5 million euros in the next few years.

Lukeman spared no expense in order to transfer to Inter Milan. First, he rejected Naples' richer offer and closed the door to Atletico Madrid, other foreign clubs. Lukeman is currently on standby due to injury and is receiving treatment in Zingonia normally. It is not ruled out that the players take tough measures for the transfer.

After recently clarifying the contacts of their respective positions, Inter Milan's new meeting with Atlanta is also important. Of course, the way of dealing needs to be considered: Inter's initial proposal for a loan with a mandatory buyout clause has been rejected by Atlanta because they want a permanent transfer. Therefore, the most feasible way may be to pay in installments.

It is certain that Inter Milan is working hard to complete the transfer. Stankovic and Buchanan have completed their departure and brought nearly 20 million euros of funds. Next, Taremi, F-Esposito and Aslani will further raise funds.

Inter Milan has also withdrawn from Leoni's competition and will be able to operate with more financial resources. It will take at least 30 million euros to sign Oni. After Lukeman's transfer is completed, Inter Milan still has the possibility of introducing defenders to strengthen. Genoa defender Coney Dewinter is among the target candidates for Inter Milan.
