Main body: Inter Milan s extreme fan leader s murder has made significant progress, and five suspects will be tried
According to the Turin Sports Daily, there has been significant progress in the shooting death of Vittorio Boyoki, the leader of Inter Milan's extremist fan organization in October 2022.
The Milan judge has ordered the trial of five suspects for premeditated murder by "mafia-style means". The defendants include former Inter Milan's North stands leader Andrea Bereta, Marco Ferdico and his father, as well as the alleged assaulters Daniel Dalexandro and Pietro Andrea Simoncini. The trial is scheduled to take place on December 10, with five people facing up to life imprisonment. The key breakthrough in the
case comes from Bereta's surrender, who has been turned into a tainted witness. Bereta admitted that he was the focal point of the murder and said it was the result of a conflict surrounding commercial interests in the stands, such as sales of peripheral products. He revealed that he had paid 50,000 euros to organize the murder. Except for the alleged gunman Dalesandro, the remaining suspects have pleaded guilty.
The case is part of the Milan Procuratorate's "Double Stand" investigation, which has revealed the infiltration of the mafia organization into the Inter North Stand. In addition, in a related investigation, the Roma Prosecutor's Office also asked Lazio defender Romanio and former captain Immobile to understand the possible pressure on Lazio extreme fans.
