👀Mavericks don t plan to sign other rookies for the No. 1 pick, Flag won t visit other teams either
According to ESPN's registered reporter Shams Charania and draft expert Jonathan Givony, several sources revealed that the Mavericks, who have the No. 1 pick, plan to have a private meeting with potential No. 1 pick Flag on June 18.
The Mavericks have no plans to inspect and find any other rookies for the No. 1 pick, and it is made public and private that when NBA president Adam Xiao Hua called the Mavericks' name in the 2025 draft, they intend to choose Flag (with No. 1 pick).
Digital sources said Flag also did not intend to make any additional team visits, and both sides agreed that he would come to the Mavericks as the No. 1 pick, where he played a major role and had the opportunity to immediately help the team compete for a playoff spot with several key veterans.
At the lottery draw ceremony in May, the Mavericks won the No. 1 pick with a probability of 1.8%, which is also the lowest probability since the implementation of the current lottery draw system.
This year's draft will be held at the Barclays Center at the Nets' home court on June 26 and 27.
