American News: The first year of the Drew Smith contract is guaranteed, and the next two years is unsecured & is transferred to the protection in late June each year

Today, Keith Smith talked about the details of Drew Smith's new contract on social media.

Keith Smith said that Smith's new contract, with its first year's salary fully guaranteed (estimated 2.37 million), and the next two years (estimated 5.51 million) are currently not guaranteed and will be converted to guarantee in late June of the year that starts each season.

Drew is from the Heat training system and has overcome the ACL and Achilles tendon injuries that have caused season-reimbursement reimbursement respectively in the past two years.

Last season, Drew played 14 games, averaged 6.2 points and 1.5 steals per game, shooting percentage of 51% and three-point shooting percentage of 53%.
