Manwan: Naples intends to introduce Sancho, Anthony is preparing to accept a 30% salary cut

According to the British media Manchester Evening News, Manchester United winger Sancho is ready to accept a transfer to Italy after Chelsea decided not to buy out him.

Last August, when Chelsea signed Sancho on loan for one season, they negotiated a condition that a forced buyout must be made at a fee of up to 25 million pounds after the loan period expires. However, Chelsea ended up paying a £5m penalty to avoid signing Sancho. Sources said that Sancho's agent Emeca Obasi had tested the interests of German clubs. Sancho played twice in Dortmund, but the Bundesliga option has now been ruled out.

Naples reportedly were interested in Sancho, who had bid £40 million for another Manchester United winger Garnacho in January but was rejected.

Sancho's contract with Manchester United expires next year, and despite his disappointing performance at Chelsea, United still hopes to receive a transfer fee similar to what Chelsea originally agreed to pay.

After McTominay's transfer last summer, Manchester United established a good relationship with Naples, and Naples coach Conte had a precedent for introducing players from the Premier League to Serie A.

Manchester United winger Anthony is preparing to accept a 30% salary cut this summer to leave Manchester United permanently. According to the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules, Manchester United needs to receive a transfer fee of 32.58 million pounds to avoid losses on Anthony.

Anthony performed well during the second half of the 2024-25 season to Betis and was re-selected to the national team.

Manchester United signed Sancho from Dortmund for 72.9 million pounds in 2021, while Anthony transferred from Ajax to Manchester United for 86.3 million pounds the following year.
