Fiorentina General Manager: We are discussing the details of the contract renewal with Keane Jr. and will sign forward Picoli soon

Fiorentina general manager Alessandro Ferrari talked about the team's new season in an interview with Sky Sports.

Fiorentina invited Pioli to coach this summer. Alessandro Ferrari first said: "This is a mature choice. We know him very well. We have had the opportunity to work together. When we called him for the first time, he was very happy and satisfied. Since then, we have started to communicate for a goal: that is, to raise the standards of the team."

Alessandro Ferrari continued: "This is already a very good Fiorentina because we have a good foundation. We have retained important players such as De Gea, Keane Jr., and Faccioli, and have improved the team's strength through signings."

Keane Jr. rejected Saudi Arabia's high-paying invitation this summer, and Fiorentina plans to renew his contract with him for a raise, but has not officially announced the renewal yet. Alessandro Ferrari responded: "Keen Jr. is very happy with us, and we are discussing the details of the contract renewal. He is the first person to tell us how happy he is in Fiorentina. There have indeed been some temptations, but we handled them very well."

Alessandro Ferrari also confirmed that Fiorentina is about to sign Cagliari's center Picoli. "We are about to complete all negotiations. Picoli is another great Italian player, and it is another effort by our club to raise the bar."

Alessandro Ferrari also talked about the summer transfer: "We are a strong team now. In the last few days of the summer transfer period, anything can happen, for better or worse. But now we are in a very good position."

Finally, Alessandro Ferrari admitted that Beltran might leave Fiorentina, "We have a good relationship with Beltran because he is a serious guy and a perfect professional player. But he has the intention to try to play in other games, let's see what will happen in the end."
