Six teams including the Warriors and the Lakers are currently unable to sign a 15th player. The Warriors will have space in November and the Lakers will be available in January next year.

The NBA 2025-26 season is about to begin, and the lineups of each team have been basically determined. NBA reporter Keith Smith took stock of each team's lineup.

More than half of the teams in the league also have a formal contract player quota, namely the Celtics, Hawks, Cavaliers, Nuggets, Pistons, Warriors, Rockets, Clippers, Lakers, Heat, Timberwolves, Knicks, Magic, 76ers, Suns, and Raptors.

Among the 15 teams, 6 teams including the Warriors, Rockets, Clippers, Lakers, Knicks, and Magic are currently unable to sign a 15th man because there is no space. The situation will only change after the start of the new season. The Warriors can sign with a minimum salary in November, the Rockets, Clippers, Lakers, and Magic can sign with a minimum salary in January next year. The Knicks will have to wait until April to have room for a minimum salary.
