Rockets GM: Jaylen Green and others are like my children. Who doesn’t want their children to be smooth sailing?
Today Rockets General Manager Stone was a podcast program on ESPN and talked about Jaylen Green and others.
Stone said: "Jaylen had a leg injury in a game and said 'I want to play'. One time he had been treated for 2 hours before the game but still planned to play. I appreciate his. Although we worked together before and were in a relationship with colleagues, I treat these young people as my children. The twins of my family are 23 years old. Jaylen (23 years old) may not be older than my children. This is not just about the age gap between each other, whether it is work or personal relationship. I watch them grow up like I hope others can devote themselves to my child's career. I also want them to be smooth sailing at work. But from a basketball perspective, there is nothing I can do about it. I can't say that choosing a 18- or 19-year-old player will guarantee that he will not change places for five years. This is not practical."
In a multi-party transaction this summer, the Rockets sent Jaylen Green. Dillon Brooks, the 10th pick in the first round of 2025 and 5 second round picks were exchanged for Durant.
